Qian Trigram (乾)
Image of Heaven, pure yang power, creative and active. 3 consecutive yang lines symbolize resilience and unceasing motion.
Kun Trigram (坤)
Image of Earth, pure yin, nurturing and receptive. Earth is gentle yet contains all things, symbolizing stability and tolerance.
Zhen Trigram (震)
Image of Thunder, initiation and shock. 1 yang line beneath 2 yin lines symbolizes an eruption of power from within.
Xun Trigram (巽)
Image of Wind, penetrating and dispersing. 1 yin line beneath 2 yang lines symbolizes flexibility that deeply penetrates every corner.
Kan Trigram (坎)
Image of Water, danger and depth. 1 yang line caught between 2 yin lines symbolizes a hazardous path that still flows forward.
Li Trigram (離)
Image of Fire, illuminating and brilliant. 1 yin line caught between 2 yang lines symbolizes external brilliance that needs to cling to a core reality.
Gen Trigram (艮)
Image of Mountain, stopping and stillness. 1 yang line over 2 yin lines symbolizes clear boundaries and knowing when to stop.
Dui Trigram (兌)
Image of Lake, joy and communication. 2 yang lines beneath 1 yin line symbolize happiness, openness, and the power to attract others.
The Pure Qian hexagram is the first of the 64 I Ching hexagrams, symbolizing the ultimate power of Heaven. 6 consecutive yang lines create a purely yang hexagram, representing abundant vitality and endless creativity.
Judgment: "Qian: Supreme, Smooth, Favorable, Steadfast" — Grand, prosperous, beneficial, and persistent.
The Tai hexagram — Earth above, Heaven below, yin and yang blending to create harmony. This is one of the most auspicious hexagrams, indicating smooth fortunes and favorable affairs.
Judgment: "Tai: The small departs, the great arrives; auspicious and smooth."
The Kan hexagram represents danger and hardship, but not despair. Like water pouring into an abyss, it keeps flowing forward. The lesson: one must endure trials to reach the other shore.
Judgment: "Xi Kan: With sincerity, the heart finds success through hardships."
Ji Ji, "Already Across", symbolizes completion. Its 6 lines perfectly alternate between yin and yang, creating a flawless state that also calls for the greatest caution, as peaks easily lead to declines.
Judgment: "Ji Ji: Small success, favorable perseverance; good fortune at the beginning, disorder at the end."
The final hexagram — Wei Ji "Before Completion", not a failure but an open ending. The I Ching concludes with an incomplete hexagram to remind us: the universe is always in motion, never ceasing.
Judgment: "Wei Ji: Success. A little fox gets its tail wet when almost across — not favorable to proceed."

Plum Blossom Divination
Cast a hexagram from the moment of activation, numbers, sounds, written strokes, or external signs. Use the Changing Line to distinguish Body and Function, then examine the Original, Mutual, and Transformed Hexagrams with Five Element strength to interpret the development and outcome.
Liu Yao Najia
Toss 3 coins 6 times to cast the hexagram from the Initial Line to the Top Line. Then apply Najia, establish the Lord and Response Lines, assign the Six Relatives and Six Gods, and select the Useful Spirit. Use the Day and Month Governors, strength, moving transformations, and generating, overcoming, clashing, and combining relationships to judge fortune and response timing.
Both use the 64 I Ching hexagrams but differ in the method of casting and interpretation system:

A good question is specific, single-topic, and sincere. Some principles:
✓ Recommended questions: Asking about a specific event. Placing within a certain timeframe. Arising from a genuine "moment of intent", not just for the sake of it.
✗ Questions to avoid: Asking about multiple matters at once in a single hexagram. Asking the same question repeatedly. Asking about matters completely beyond control.
"Moment of Intent" is the exact moment you are genuinely moved, questioning, thinking, or concerned about an event — not asking out of curiosity or entertainment.
In Plum Blossom Divination, when an event prompts the intention to seek an answer, that moment can be used as the reference point for casting a hexagram. The year, month, day, and hour at that time are then used to form the hexagram according to the time-based method.
